I am not sure what you want on the MSTS translation. Do you want me to translate the whole manual for you. If so I will have to go out and purchase a Spanish/English dictionary and then translate it word for word. Probably take me about 5 years.

It was a simple ironic phrase. When we play on a game in english, or any pc program which is in english, we have to understand it or we cannot do anything, but any creator of this programe will make a spanish version, a french version, an arab version, a russian version, etc...In this case, the MSTS activity was in spanish and, if you ask for a translation (because you do not understand anything) without making the efforce of understand what it says, is normal the authors or other people answer badly. It's only this. I do not speak and write english very well, so i'm hope you can understand what I will say correctly.

El otro día había un post quejándose porque había una descripción en la galería en catalán, y el amigo decía que se supone que en el Foro se debería usar el español y tal.

Ahora que se emplea en el mismo foro el inglés, nadie se queja (Yo, por supuesto, no lo haré). No entiendo ésta discriminación por parte de algunos contra el catalán, francamente.

No quiero entrar en polémicas, ni mucho menos, pero es que el asunto tiene su gracia.

De hecho creo que debemos tomar este hilo por el lado gracioso, porque en caso contrario sería pensar mal, muy mal...

No estoy de acuerdo en que se diga nada porque alguien escriba en catalán, en francés, en ingles o en el idioma que sea, vaya eso por delante. Cada uno que escriba como quiera y según haya gente interesada en el tema y que conozca cada idioma así tendrá respuestas.

También es obvio, creo, que en general, si a un catalano parlante, o gallego parlante por ejemplo, se le escribe en castellano normalmente se enterará (y al contrario) mientras que si es un señor de Estados Unidos que es sólo angloparlante, no funciona esta regla en muchos casos en las dos direcciones.

Después queda la libertad de cada uno de contestar en el idioma que desee para que el posteante inicial y, en su caso, los foreros que él desee se enteren.

Es sólo, y permitidme decirlo así, cosa de los gustos, tolerancia y deseos de cada uno.

A nivel cultural uno puede darle mil valores a una lengua u otra, y si nos metemos a nivel politico... no me apetece hablar de eso. Pero a nivel operativo, sólo es una herramienta de comunicación.
Como ha dicho javierfl: gustos, tolerancia y deseos de cada uno.

Hasta hace poco me toco currar de teleoperador, y aunque me tenian que hablar en español, no veas como se me caia la babilla al oir a dos chicas hablar en catalan entre ellas, cuando hasta entonces nunca habia oido hablar en catalan (descontando a los politicos, que en este caso no quiero hablar de ello para nada)

Yo estoy de acuerdo con Javierfl. L&N en todo momento se ha mostrado cordial, y en su primera intervención en este foro, hace ya algún tiempo, explicó que no sabía hablar castellano, que los tiempos en que lo estudió ya le quedaban muy lejos y que apenas recordaba nada. Yo en ningún momento he visto contenido ofensivo o ganas de molestar en ninguno de sus mensajes...
